The sketch transfered to a panel & beginning to be redrawn. I repositioned them for a better composition. Also we had decided that the painting needed to be larger.

When she was not posing I worked from many photos. Some were loaned to me by her parents.

I used a variety of references when they were not there to pose. When they were not in the studio posing I listened to the Big Little audio book. I tried to bring an atmosphere of childhood magic and mystery into the painting.
